Anomaly Warzone Earth is an extraordinary mixture of action and strategy in a reversed tower defense formula. The game tasks you with saving a near-future Earth from an alien onslaught. The invaders have captured the world’s major cities, building huge turrets that destroy everything in their path. It’s up to you to lead an armor squad through the streets of cities like Baghdad and Tokyo, planning the route and strategically choosing which units to deploy in order to crush the opposition. Take control of the Commander, whose special abilities and quick thinking will be vital in supporting the squad in its mission, as you engage in fast-paced, tactical battle across story campaign and two heart-pounding Squad Assault Modes.

It was the year 2018 when the world looked to the heavens and watched as a giant comet bore down on our planet. As it drew nearer, we began to see it for what it really was ... debris from a giant alien craft. It entered our atmosphere, fracturing into pieces and plummeting to the ground. Within minutes, the fragments had become encased in giant domes the scientists called The Anomalies.

Anomaly: Warzone Earth offers an arcade approach to the real-time-strategy genre. You have the heat of an RTS battle raging around you, as you find yourself in the middle it all, supporting your squad, issuing orders, changing tactics when the situation forces you to do so.

11 bit studios has announced that Anomaly: Warzone Earth will be available on April 8th, via digital distributors like Steam, GamersGate and other stores to be unveiled shortly, with incentives for early purchasers yet to be announced. Anomaly: Warzone Earth is a game that puts players in charge of a military convoy tasked with fighting back against the mysterious alien war machines that have begun to spring up in many of the world's largest cities. Players take part in battles personally to support and assist a hand-picked armor squad, utilizing their top-down tactical view to plot each and every turn of the convoy. As they progress through the story campaign and challenge modes, players will unlock upgrades and new units to build their ultimate destruction squad.
